LCSI Certification for Community Based Organisation launched
To achieve this certification community based organisations or grassroots based services have to have within their service delivery systems, procedures whose combined implementations have been found to enable that organisation to achieve their FULL SOCIAL IMPACT potentiality in provision of their services.
Those procedures are:
- User’s involvement procedures: These procedures ensure the participation of service users or beneficiaries of project in service design, planning, delivery monitoring, evaluation and management.
- Service delivery recording procedures. These procedures ensure the capturing of all actions done in views of obtaining an authentic picture of the project or service delivery during the monitoring and evaluation.
- Learning recording and dissemination procedures. These procedures ensure the detection, analysis and sharing of identified good practices as result of impact achieved.
- Policy influencing procedures: These procedures ensure the active participation of those organisations and services in influencing and shaping policies and statutory services that are relevant to needs they address through their services.
- Grant and finance management and reporting procedures: These procedures ensure transparency, accountability in managing funds.
- Equal opportunities policy and its monitoring procedures: This ensures the accessibility of service to all and avoids any sort of discrimination.
LCSI certification:
- is suitable for mostly community based services whose organisations that provide direct services to their users or members.
- is provided for two years and is renewable
- Procedures are tailored to each organisation applying to be certified.
LSCI Certified community based organisations would be able to use "LCSI certified’’ logo on their stationery and documentations
LCSI Certification monitoring: LCSI Certified community based organisations and services are monitored on yearly basis to ensure constancy in implementation all LCSI certifications requirements.
